The Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (HPERC) on February 27, 2025, issued the Draft Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Framework for Resource Adequacy) Regulations, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• These Regulations shall extend to the whole State of Himachal Pradesh
• These Regulations shall apply to the generating companies, distribution licensees, State Load Dispatch Centre, State Transmission Utility, other grid connected entities and stakeholders within the State of Himachal Pradesh
• The objective of these Regulations is to enable the implementation of Resource Adequacy framework by outlining a mechanism for planning of generation and transmission resources for reliably meeting the projected demand in compliance with the specified reliability standards for serving the load with an optimum generation mix
The objections or suggestions in this behalf should be addressed to the Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission, Vidyut Aayog Bhawan within 30 days.
