The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on March 07, 2025, amended older notifications related to the Customs Act, 1962.
The following has been stated: -
•The Central Government, under powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, and Finance Acts of 2018 and 2021, amends several notifications related to Customs duties. Specifically, Notification 50/2017-Customs is amended by replacing the entry for S. No. 21D with "5%".
•Notification 11/2018-Customs adds an entry for lentils (Mosur) under HS Code 0713 40 00.
•Notification 11/2021-Customs substitutes "5%" for S. No. 5. Finally, Notification 49/2021-Customs omits S. No. 4 and its related entries.
This notification shall come into force with effect from March 08, 2025.
