The National e-Governance Services Limited (NeSL) on March 07, 2025, issued a circular regarding requests from Creditors to IU for issuance of Record of Default.
The following has been stated: -
•Creditors, particularly banks and financial institutions, are reminded to comply with amended IBBI regulations for issuing a Record of Default (RoD) after October and December 2024.
•Information of default must be submitted in Form C, and relevant documents, including proof of debt, acknowledgment of debt, and proof of default, must be provided for verification.
•The Information Utility (IU) will only issue the RoD after completing debtor authentication and verification processes. Creditors are requested to ensure full compliance before requesting the RoD.
