Industry Specific ComplianceThe Department of Finance, Goa on March 05, 2025, issued the notification regarding the closing of premises with the licensed premises “for the sale of liquor”.

The following has been stated namely: -

• All licensed premises “for the sale of liquor” shall be closed on March 08, 09, and 10, 2025 within the areas under jurisdiction of Ward No. II of Village Panchayat Sao Jose De Areal, Taluka Salcete and Ward No.V of Village Panchayat Netorlim, Taluka Sanguem, South Goa District. 

• The licensed premises having licence for “Bar and Restaurant” may be allowed to keep the restaurant open for serving food only and the Bar counter shall be closed and no liquor shall be allowed to be served on the above mentioned days. 

• The owners of the licensed premises having “Bar & Restaurant” shall also display a board in the premises stating that no liquor will be served and that only the restaurant is open for serving food
