The Government of Haryana on March 07, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Increase in Contribution Limit under Section BA of the Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1965.
As per the Haryana Government notification, effective from January 01, 2023, employees are required to contribute 0.2% of their salary or wages, capped at ₹31 per month, while employers contribute twice that amount. The contribution limit is indexed annually to the Consumer Price Index starting January 1 each year. From 01-01-2025, the contribution limit has been increased to Rs.34 per month, with the same annual indexing process continuing.
