The Taxes (G) Department, Govt. of Kerala on March 01, 2025, issued the Foreign Liquor (2nd Amendment) Rules, 2025, to further amend the Foreign Liquor Rules, 1953.
The following has been stated namely:-
• In rule 19, sub-rule (ii), in the first sentence, for the word “Reconstitution”, the words and symbol shall be substituted with “Constitution/reconstitution”.
• In rule 19, sub-rule (iii), for the words and symbol “Reconstitution of partnership/ Directors”, the words and symbol shall be substituted with:- “Constitution/reconstitution of partnership or reconstitution of director board”.
• In rule 19, after sub-rule (iv), a new sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:— “(v) The sale of license may be allowed on payment of a fee equivalent to the annual rental for that license prevailing on the date of sanction”.
