The Department of Power, Government of Delhi on March 07, 2025, issued directions for the efficient use of energy and its conservation in NCT of Delhi.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It mandates the use of energy-efficient appliances in government buildings and institutions.
• All new buildings shall install BLDC fans, 5-star or above air conditioners, and other star-rated appliances. Defective fans and ACs must be replaced in buildings with energy-efficient models. Departments are encouraged to explore other energy-efficient appliances based on cost-benefit analysis.
• These measures aim to enhance energy conservation across government sectors.
