Commercial Compliance class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The Directorate General of Foreign Trade on March 10, 2025, issued an Amendment in Export Policy Condition under HSN of Schedule-II (Export Policy), ITC(HS) 2022 –reg.

It states that the export of Basmati and Non-Basmati rice to EU member states, UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland requires a Certificate of Inspection from the Export Inspection Council/Agency. Exports to other European countries are exempt from this requirement for six months, until October 09, 2025.
