The Directorate General of Shipping (DGFT) on March 03, 2025, issued a draft NT/ENG Circular regarding Training and Certification of Seafarers on ships subject to IGF Code.
The following has been stated namely:-
• Comments/suggestions on the draft, if any can be communicated to Shri. Praveen Nair, Dy.CS(i/c), DG Shipping at [email protected] and or on before March 20, 2025.
• It states that the Seafarers with a CoP in Basic Training for the IGF Code shall complete approved advanced training, including one month of seagoing service with at least three bunkering operations, two of which can be substituted with approved simulator training.
