The Government of Chhattisgarh on March 07, 2025, issued a notification regarding amendments in the Chhattisgarh Excise Indian/Foreign Liquor Retail Sale Licences Settlement Rules, 2018.
The following has been stated: -
•For rule 8(d), the following rule 8(d) is substituted, namely:-
Rule 8(d) With effect from April 01, 2025, the rates of duty on the supply of liquor from the warehouse for Indian / Foreign liquor shall be as shown in the table below:-
Abolishing the import duty on foreign liquor (Spirit & Malt) (Blended & Bottled outside India) imported from outside India, the excise duty prevalent in the State is imposed.
The amendment will come into force from April 01, 2025
