Commercial ComplianceThe Ministry of Cooperation, on March 11, 2025, issued a notification regarding the PACS Allowed to Operate Petrol/Diesel Outlets and LPG Distributorships.

The Government has permitted Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) to run Retail Petrol/Diesel Outlets and LPG Distributorships. To prioritize PACS under Combined Category 2 (CC-2) for retail Petrol/Diesel dealerships and Combined Category (CC) for LPG Distributorships, guidelines have been revised by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. PACS can also convert wholesale consumer pumps into retail outlets through a one-time option.

This initiative aims to improve fuel accessibility for agricultural machinery, reduce costs, and provide affordable LPG to rural households, enhancing living standards. It also promotes financial self-sufficiency for PACS, generating employment and contributing to rural economic growth.
