The Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on March 07, 2025, issued the notification regarding the revised category list of industries under Red/Orange/Green/White categories
The following has been stated namely: -
• The revised category list of industries under Red/Orange/Green/White categories as per the direction of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) was implemented
• The following industries/activities are categorized as given below: -
o Egg Packing Unit – Green
o Food Waste Processing Unit involving sterilisation and centrifuging to separate water to produce animal feed and oil – Orange
o Hydrogen production through electrolysis using raw/seawater and renewable energy (capacity > 2.5 TPD) – Orange
o Hydrogen production through electrolysis using raw/sea water and renewable energy (capacity < 2.5 TPD) – Green
o Hydrogen production through electrolysis (using renewable energy) on Build Own Operate (BOO)/Build Own Operate Transfer (BOOT)/Build Operate Transfer (BOT) mode etc., located in the premises of end user industry and directly using demineralized water & other utilities (cooling tower, ETP, etc.) sourced from end user industry – White
