Secretarial ComplianceThe Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on March 13, 2025, notified clarity regarding modes of order placement by the Trading Members. 

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that SEBI's Master Circular mandates that stock brokers shall retain evidence of clients' orders through various modes, including physical records, telephone recordings, emails, transaction logs, SMS, or other legally verifiable records, to prevent unauthorized trading.

• It notified that SEBI clarifies that orders placed through IVR systems, where clients confirm by pressing a predefined number, will not be considered a legally verifiable record of order placement.

• The Trading Members are advised to ensure compliance by May 15, 2025.
