Industry Specific Compliance The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on March 12, 2025, issued a notification for Addendum to OC-184 Modification in UPI chargeback rules and procedures

Based on feedback from member banks, NPCI has exempted the capping of 10 chargebacks (IFSC + Account Number) and 5 chargebacks (Payer VPA to Payee VPA) for chargebacks raised on fraudulent transactions.

The changes will be implemented in URCS with effect from March 15, 2025.
