The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on March 13, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Amendments in SEBI Research Analysts Regulations, 2014.
SEBI has issued amendments to sub-regulation (3) of Regulation 7 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014. As per the amendment, individuals registered as research analysts, principal officers of non-individual research analysts, and those involved in providing research services must obtain certification by passing the “NISM-Series-XV: Research Analyst Certification Examination”.
Additionally, to maintain compliance, they must pass the NISM-Series-XV-B: Research Analyst Certification (Renewal) Examination before the expiry of the existing certification. This amendment aims to ensure continued adherence to certification requirements.
