The Goods and Service Tax Network (GSTN) on March 16, 2025, issued an advisory for Biometric-Based Aadhaar Authentication and Document Verification for GST Registration Applicants of Uttar Pradesh
The following has been stated: -
•Starting March 15, 2025, Uttar Pradesh GST registration applicants must undergo Biometric-based Aadhaar Authentication and document verification. After submitting Form GST REG-01, applicants will receive a link for either OTP-based authentication or an appointment for verification at a GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK).
•Appointment slots can be booked from March 18, 2025, and applicants must bring relevant documents for verification.
•The biometric authentication process must be completed within the specified timeframe for generating ARNs.
