The Government of Goa on March 13, 2025, issued the Goa Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2025 to further amend the Goa Motor Vehicles Rules, 1991.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In rule 140 of the Goa Motor Vehicles Rules, 1991, after sub-rule (1), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
“Provided that, if the Motorcab is operating under an App-based Aggregator, the App may be considered as Fare Meter for the purpose of this rule, and the need for the printer shall not be mandatory in case the App has functionality to provide SMS/Email based invoices.”
