Industry Specific ComplianceThe Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on March 17, 2025, issued updates to UNSC’s 1267/ 1989 ISIL (Da'esh) & Al-Qaida Sanctions List: Amendment in 12 entries.

The following have been stated:

• Note SC/16017 dated March 12, 2025 regarding the amendment in 12 entries in UNSC’s 1267/1989 ISIL (Da’esh) & Al-Qaida Sanctions list (Annexure-1). The notification can be accessed at the following URL: https://press.un.org/en/2025/sc16017.doc.htm

• An updated list of individuals and entities which are subject to various sanction measures such as freezing of assets/accounts, denial of financial services etc., as approved by the Security Council Committee established pursuant to various United Nations' Security Council Resolutions (UNSCRs) can be accessed at its website at https://www.un.org/securitycouncil/content/un-sc-consolidated-list

• The updated “ISIL (Da’esh) &Al-Qaida Sanctions List”, which includes names of individuals and entities associated with the Al-Qaida is available at: http://www.un.org/securitycouncil/sanctions/1267/aq_sanctions_list

• Any request for delisting received by any Regulated Entity (RE) is to be forwarded electronically to Joint Secretary (CTCR), MHA (email: [email protected]) for consideration. A copy of the same may be marked to Joint Secretary (UNP), MEA (e-mail id: [email protected]).
