The Government of Haryana on March 12, 2025, notified the Insecticides (Haryana Amendment) Bill, 2025 to further amend the Insecticides Act, 1968.
The following has been stated-
•For sub-clauses (i) and (ii) of sub-section (1) of section 29, the “(i) for the first offence, with imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than six months but which may extend to two years and shall also be liable to fine which shall not be less than one lakh rupees but which may extend to three lakh rupees; (ii) for the second and a subsequent offence, with imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than one year but which may extend to three years and shall also be liable to fine which shall not be less than three lakh rupees but which may extend to five lakh rupees.” sub-clauses shall be substituted.
