NSE issued a circular regarding the Dummy Securities in e-OFS Platform

Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange (NSE) on March 17, 2025, issued a circular regarding the Dummy Securities in e-OFS Platform.

It is stated that to optimise and strengthen the bidding platform, the Exchange shall perform internal order/bidding activity every day before the start of market hours as part of pre-market sanity checks.

All market participants are requested to note that inclusion of dummy securities/symbols are purely intended for internal testing of the Exchange, hence, market participants shall ignore receipt of any such data in the form of report/feed/broadcast. Any reference/processing/activity/consumption and consequent results on the said data shall be at their own discretion/risk. In no event will NSE, its officers or employees be liable for decision made or action taken in reliance of the said data.

The above change shall be implemented in a live environment from March 21, 2025 and shall be effective until further notice.
