Industry Specific ComplianceThe Govt. of Haryana on March 13, 2025, issued the Haryana Prevention of Public Gambling Bill, 2025.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that anyone caught gambling in a public place or typical gambling house faces up to one year in prison, a fine of up to ten thousand rupees, or both. Repeat offenders may face imprisonment for one to three years and a fine. Presence in a gambling house is presumed as involved in gambling unless proven otherwise.

• It states that the owners, occupiers, or financiers of a common gambling house face imprisonment of 3 to 5 years and a fine of up to one lakh rupees, and repeat offenders face 5 to 7 years in prison and a fine between two lakh and five lakh rupees.
