The Government of Karnataka on March 11, 2025, issued the Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University (Amendment) Bill, 2025 to further amend the Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University Act, 2016.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In the Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University Act, 2016 for the words, “the Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University”, wherever they occur, the words “the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University”, shall be substituted.
It shall come into force at once.
