The Government of Madhya Pradesh on March 13, 2025, issued draft of amendments in the Madhya Pradesh Niji Vidyalaya (Fees Tatha Sambandhit Vishayon Ka Viniyaman) Rules, 2020.
The following amendments have been stated:
• in rule 1,-
o for the existing marginal heading, the following marginal heading shall be substituted, namely:-
"1. Short title, commencement and application.-".
o After sub-rule (2), the following sub-rule shall be added, namely:-
3)(a)These rules shall apply to all such private schools whose annual fees in any class being is not less than Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-Five Thousand only);
(b) such private schools, which are outside the purview of these rules in accordance with the above clause (a) shall have to upload a notarized affidavit in this regard on the portal in the time and manner, as prescribed by the State Government and such private schools which do not upload a notarized affidavit in accordance with the above within the prescribed time limit without giving any reasonable cause shall come under the purview of the provisions of these rules and all the provisions of these rules shall apply to them.".
• In rule 2, in sub-rule (1), after clause (d), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-
"(da) "Departmental Departmental Committee" Committee means constituted for regulation of fees and related issues under sub- section (1) of section 11 of the Madhya Pradesh Niji Vidyalaya (Fees Tatha Sambandhit Vishayon Ka Viniyaman) Adhiniyam, 2017 (No. 6 of 2018);".
• In rule 3, for the words "each private school", wherever they occur, the words "private school" shall be substituted.
• In rule 4, for the words "State Committee", wherever they occur, the words "Departmental Committee" shall be substituted.
• In rule 8, for the words "State Committee, wherever they occur, the words "Departmental Committee shall be substituted.
It is stated that all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft of amendments shall be taken into consideration on the expiry of 30 days from the date of publication of this notice in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette.
Any objection or suggestion which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft of amendments on or before the expiry of the period specified above shall be considered by the State Government.
