The Government of Kerala on March 11, 2025, issued the Kerala Minor Mineral Concession (Amendment) Rules, 2025, to further amend the Kerala Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 2015.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In rule 7, the existing proviso shall be substituted with "Provided that the applicant for Laterite (Building stone) shall pay royalty in advance half yearly or yearly for the corresponding quantity of mineral proposed to be mined as per the approved mining plan.”
• In SCHEDULE I, the entries against item No.5, in column (2) and (3), shall respectively be substituted with: " Granite and Laterite (Building stone)
o (i) Granite (Building stone) (i) 48 (forty eight) per tonne
o (ii) Laterite (Building stone) (ii) 32 (thirty two) per tonne."
