The Government of Nagaland on February 28, 2025, notified the Draft Nagaland Shops and Establishment (First Amendment) Rules, 2024.
Any objections or suggestions, that may be received from any person with respect to the draft before the expiry of the period of thirty days from the publication of this notification, will be considered by the State Government.
The following has been stated-
•After rule 11, the 11A. Exemption of establishment from registration, all establishments provided for exemption under section 3 of the Nagaland Shops and Establishment Act, 1986 shall be exempted from registration." rule shall be inserted.
•After rule 24 of the principle rules, the "24A. Maternity leave. In case of a woman worker, maternity leave under the provisions of the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961, shall apply." Rule shall be inserted.
