The Government of Uttar Pradesh on February 17, 2025, notified the Uttar Pradesh Excise (Settlement of Licences for Whole Sale of Foreign Liquor) (Fifteenth Amendment) Rules, 2024 to further amend the Uttar Pradesh Excise (Settlement of Licenses for Wholesale of Foreign Liquor) Rules, 2002.
The following has been stated-
•They shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from April 01, 2024.
•Amendment of rule 4, which states Types of Wholesale Licenses for foreign liquor, beer and wine.
•Amendment of rule 7, which states Eligibility for license.
•Amendment of rule 8, which states the Supply of foreign liquor.
