The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on March 13, 2025, revised Examination Schedule Considering Holi Celebrations.
A considerate step by providing the Date Sheet for Board Examinations three months in advance, allowing students to plan their studies effectively. However, the scheduled Class XII Hindi Core (302)/Hindi Elective (002) examination on March 15, 2025, coincides with Holi celebrations in certain parts of the country, where festivities may continue beyond March 14, 2025.
Recognizing the possible challenges faced by students celebrating Holi on March 14, 2025, CBSE has decided to provide an alternative for those unable to appear for the examination on the scheduled date. Such students will be allowed to appear in a special examination conducted under the Board’s policy, which also accommodates students participating in National or International sports events.
CBSE has urged all affiliated schools to communicate this update to their Class XII students to ensure they are well informed about their options. This considerate approach underscores the Board’s commitment to ensuring fairness and accessibility for all students, especially those facing genuine difficulties due to cultural or regional celebrations.
