The Government of Karnataka on March 18, 2025, issued the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements (Amendment) Bill, 2025 further to amend the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999.
The following has been stated: -
•In section 4,- in clause (e) after the words and figures “the Bayaluseeme Development Board Act, 1994” the words and figures “Grama Panchayats and Taluk Panchayats constituted under the Karnataka Gram Swaraj and Panchayat Raj Act, 1993, Town Municipal Councils or Town Panchayats constituted under the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964 or Urban Development Authorities constituted under the Karnataka Urban Development Authorities Act, 1987” shall be inserted; and clauses (ee), (eee) and (f) shall be omitted.
