The Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) on March 11, 2025, notified regarding the competency to decide requests of individual flat/plot owners for issuance of directions to concerned Revenue Authorities after the project proponent compliance with statutory requirements of environmental laws.
It states that the PPCB initially exempted individual flat/plot owners from restrictions on property registration and electricity connections in certain projects facing environmental action. However, a subsequent modification denied such relaxations to projects without necessary environmental clearances (NOC/CTO). Now, the Member Secretary will handle individual owners' requests in such cases.
