The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on February 19, 2025, issued the date of the establishment and the date of withdrawal of Indian standards particulars related to various chemicals.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the dates of establishment shall be March 05, 2025 –
• IS 4611: 2025- Metallic Zinc Powder (Zinc Dust) — Specification (Third Revision).
• IS 5288: 2025 - Barium Chloride — Specification (Second Revision).
• IS 5877: 2025 - Barium Sulphide, Technical (Black Ash) — Specification (First Revision).
• IS 9398: 2025 - Silicon Tetrachloride, Technical — Specification (Second Revision).
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the date of withdrawal shall be September 05, 2025: -
• IS 4611: 1991 - Metallic Zinc Powder (Zinc Dust) — Specification (Second Revision).
• IS 5288 – 1980 - Specification for Barium Chloride (First Revision).
• IS 5877 – 1971- Specification for Barium Sulphide, Technical (Black Ash).
• IS 9398 – 1987 - Specification for Silicon Tetrachloride, Technical (First Revision).
