The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on March 20, 2025, issued the date of establishment of amendments for certain Indian Standards (IS).
The amendments of the following IS have been established on March 18, 2025 namely: -
• IS 303 : 2024 Plywood for General Purposes — Specification (Fourth Revision) – Amendment No. 1 March 2025
• IS 802 (Part 1/Section 2) : 2016 Use of Structural Steel in Overhead Transmission Line Towers — Code of Practice Part 1 Materials, Loads and Design Strengths Section 2 Design Strengths (Fourth Revision) – Amendment No. 1 March 2025
• IS 3224 : 2021 Valve for Compressed Gas Cylinders Excluding Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Cylinders — Specification (Fourth Revision) – Amendment No. 2 March 2025
• IS 4474 : 2003 Textile Machinery — Glossary of Terms Relating to Drafting in Spinning Machinery (First Revision) – Amendment No. 1 March 2025
• IS 16440 : 2016 Stainless Steel Milk Cans — Specification – Amendment No. 2 March 2025
The standard shall remain in force without the amendment till September 17, 2025.
