The Government of Karnataka on March 12, 2025, issued the Draft Karnataka Excise (Bottling of Liquor) (Second Amendment) Rules, 2025, to further amend the Karnataka Excise (Bottling of Liquor) Rules, 1967.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Objections or suggestions may be addressed to the Principal Secretary to Government, Finance Department, Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru – 01 and on or before March 20, 2025.
• In rule 15, sub-rule (3), the proviso shall be substituted, namely:- “Provided that, the Excise Commissioner may, at his discretion approve a suitable label containing descriptions other than the above clauses (a) to (g) for export to other States or Union Territories and other countries”.
