The Government of Karnataka on March 12, 2025, issued the Karnataka Motor Vehicles Tax Assessment (Amendment) Bill, 2025, to further amend the Karnataka Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1957.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In section 3, sub-section (1), clause (d) of the fifth proviso to the words “of a value exceeding ten lakh rupees” shall be omitted.
• In section 4, sub-section (1), the fifth proviso words “of a value exceeding ten lakh rupees” shall be omitted.
• In schedule, for PART A7 except Notes, it shall be substituted with:- “Part A-7 [See Section 3(1)]".
• In schedule, for Part A8, it shall be substituted with:- “PART A8 (see section 3(1))”.
