The Govt. of Uttar Pradesh on March 17, 2025, issued the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development (Amendment) Act, 2025, to further amend the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973.
This shall come into force from February 05, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In section 4, clause (b) of sub-section (3), the clause shall be substituted, namely:– “a Vice-Chairman to be appointed or authorised by the State Government.”
• In section 4, Sub-section (4) shall be omitted.
• It states that the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025, is hereby repealed and Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the provisions of the principal Act as amended by the Ordinance referred to in sub-section (1) shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of the principal Act as amended by this Act as if the provisions of this Act were in force at all material times.
