Commercial ComplianceThe Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on March 24, 2025, issued the date of the establishment and the date of withdrawal of Indian standards particulars related to various chemical testing materials.

In the following Indian Standards particulars, the dates of establishment shall be March 19, 2025 –

• IS 1060 (Part 8/Sec 1): 2025 ISO 1762: 2019 - Methods of Sampling and Test for Paper and Allied Products Part 8 Methods of Test for Paper, Board, Pulps and Cellulose Nanomaterials Section 1 Determination of Residue (Ash Content) on Ignition at 525 oC.

• IS 12201: 2025 - Hydrofluosilicic Acid for Electroplating — Specification (First Revision).

• IS 18882: 2025 Ophthalmic Instruments — Indirect Ophthalmoscopes (ISO 10943: 2023, MOD).

• IS 18886: 2025 Ophthalmic Instruments — Direct Ophthalmoscopes (ISO 10942: 2022, MOD).

In the following Indian Standards particulars, the date of withdrawal shall be September 19, 2025: -

• IS 1060 (Part 4/Sec 2): 2018 ISO 1762: 2015 - Methods of Sampling and Test for Paper and Allied Products Part 4 Methods of Test for Paper, Board and Pulps Section 2 Determination of residue (ash) on ignition at 525oC.

• IS 12201 – 1987 - Specification for Hydrofluosilicic Acid for Electroplating.

• IS/ISO 10943: 2011 Ophthalmic Instruments — Indirect Ophthalmoscopes.

• IS/ISO 10942: 2006 - Ophthalmic Instruments — Direct Ophthalmoscopes.
