The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on March 24, 2025, issued the notification regarding the suspension of trading in derivative contracts in certain commodities till March 31, 2026.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Commodity Derivatives Segment suspended trading in derivative contracts in the certain commodities till December 20, 2022
• The commodities are as below: -
o Paddy (non-basmati)
o Wheat
o Chana
o Mustard seeds and its derivatives (its complex)
o Soya bean and its derivatives (its complex)
o Crude Palm Oil
o Moong
• The suspension in trading in the above contracts was extended till March 31, 2026.
