The Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) on March 24, 2025, notified regarding the CAQM Sub-Committee on GRAP invokes Stage-I of GRAP in the entire NCR.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that Delhi's daily average AQI reached 206 ('Poor' category) due to variable surface winds and unfavorable conditions, prompting the GRAP Sub-Committee to enforce all 27 Stage-I measures immediately across NCR, as directed to relevant agencies, including Pollution Control Boards and DPCC.
• It states that the Sub-Committee urges NCR citizens to follow Stage-I GRAP guidelines, including maintaining vehicles, reducing idling, preferring EVs, avoiding waste littering, reporting pollution, planting trees, celebrating eco-friendly festivals, and not using old diesel/petrol vehicles.
• It states that A 27-point action plan under Stage-I of GRAP is now in effect across NCR, mandating strict dust control in construction, waste management, road sweeping, emission enforcement, industrial compliance, traffic regulation, anti-smog measures, restrictions on polluting fuels, power backup limitations, firecracker bans, public awareness campaigns, and unified employee commuting to reduce pollution.
