The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), on March 25, 2025, issued a notification regarding the implementation of the New Product Type and Transaction Code for ACH CR.
The following has been stated: -
•NPCI has announced the introduction of new transaction codes and product types for ACH Credit (ACH CR), effective from April 01, 2025.
•The new product types include BDC, LAU, and COR, each with specific transaction codes (83, 84) and file naming conventions.
•Member banks are advised to update their systems accordingly to process transactions with these new codes. Further details and technical specifications are provided in Annexure I.
