The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on March 25, 2025, released recommendations on the Telecommunication Infrastructure Sharing, Spectrum Sharing and Spectrum Leasing in response to the DoT's back-reference in respect of the TRAI's recommendations dated April 24, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Chapter II presents the Authority's response to the DoT's Back-reference on recommendations that the Government may not accept or may need modification, including the original recommendation, DoT’s views, and the Authority’s response.
• It has been recommended that mandating intra-circle roaming only in future USOF projects may not effectively address immediate connectivity issues in remote areas.
