The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on March 28, 2025, notified regarding RuPay Credit Interchange.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the RuPay Credit Card interchange for Classic, Platinum and Select variants on domestic transactions shall be applicable from May 01, 2025.
• It states that the revised interchange fees for Merchant Category Code (MCC) 4900 (Utilities) shall be 1.10% (POS), 1.60% (ECOM), 1.85% (Select), and 2.02% (Platinum), payable by the acquirer to the issuer, with MCC 6529 assigned for Public Sector Insurance Companies.
