Industry Specific ComplianceThe Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (JSERC) on May 14, 2025, notified JSERC (Rooftop Solar PV Grid Interactive System and Net/ Gross Metering) (Sixth Amendment) Regulations, 2025 to amend the JSERC (Rooftop Solar PV Grid Interactive System and Net/ Gross Metering) Regulations, 2015.

The following has been stated: - 

•Clause 7.1 has been amended to specify that applicants installing rooftop solar PV systems must apply using the prescribed form and pay the applicable fees, except under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, where no application or registration fees are required. The Distribution Licensee must make all necessary forms available on their website and local offices.

•Clause 7.13 mandates that the interconnection agreement be executed within 15 days of registration for net metering applicants. However, this requirement is waived for applicants under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.

•Such systems must include an isolation device, automatic disconnection features during outages, and comply with relevant national and international electrical standards.

These Regulations shall come into force on May 14, 2025.
