Industry Specific ComplianceThe Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) on May 21, 2025, notified regarding the Strengthening Compliance with UGC Anti-Ragging Regulations and Monitoring Mechanisms.

The following have been stated:

Compliance Verification: HEIs and Regulatory Bodies are requested to submit reports detailing the implementation status of the UGC guidelines at email. [email protected]. These reports should highlight institutional efforts to prevent ragging, including awareness drives, disciplinary measures, and proactive engagement with students. 

Strengthened Monitoring Measures: All Regulatory Councils and Monitoring Agencies must streamline anti-ragging compliance checks, enhance surprise inspections, and ensure strict enforcement of preventive policies within educational institutions. 

Inter-Council Coordination: To enhance enforcement, UGC invites AICTE, NMC, INC, and other relevant bodies to collaborate on compliance reviews and institutional inspections. A meeting to coordinate further action will be scheduled soon. 

We urge all recipients to provide a detailed status report by June 01, 2025 to ensure timely and effective implementation of anti-ragging measures.
