WRDA notified regarding the Requirement of Security Deposit for registration of warehouses with the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority

Industry Specific ComplianceThe Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA) on July 01, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Requirement of Security Deposit for registration of warehouses with the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority.

The procedure for requirement of security deposit for registration of warehouse with the Authority has been stated namely: -

• Clause 4 after sub clause (iv), the following clause shall be inserted, namely: - 

“(iv) a. Where the applicant or warehouseman is a Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society, The Authority may allow to submit an Indemnity Bond for the amount required as security deposit (as per format provided in the Third Schedule) issued by the State Government.”

• In the said notification, Clause 4 (v) the word e- Bank Guarantee shall be added after Bank Guarantee. Accordingly, Clause 4 (v) shall be read as “The security deposit shall be in the form of Bank Fixed Deposits or in the form of Bank Guarantee /e- Bank Guarantee (as per the format given in the First Schedule), or surety insurance policies or contracts or any other instrument decided by the Authority favouring Warehousing Development & Regulatory Authority”.

• In the said notification, after the Second Schedule, the Third Schedule on the Indemnity Bond has been inserted.
