The Government of Uttar Pradesh on June 03, 2025, issued the UPERC (Rooftop Solar PV Grid Interactive System Gross/ Net Metering) Regulation, 2019 (Third Amendment).
This shall come into force from July 05, 2025.
Regulation No. 10.3(ii) shall be amended. It states that the Distribution Licensee shall pay ‘Solar Injection Compensation’ to eligible rooftop solar consumers at a rate equal to the weighted average tariff of large-scale (5 MW+) competitively bid solar projects from the last financial year, plus a 25% incentive; if no such bidding occurred, the last applicable gross metering tariff applies.
