The Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) on August 12, 2025, notified the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (Procurement of Energy from Renewable Sources) Regulations, 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•Regulation 2 specifies various definitions of terms like Central Commission and Captive Generating Plant.
•Regulation 3 specifies the Applicability of the Renewable Power Purchase Obligation (RPO).
•Regulation 4 specifies the Quantum of Renewable Power Purchase Obligation (RPPO).
These Regulations shall come into force on August 12, 2025.
