The Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) on September 01, 2025, issued the notification regarding installing online effluent monitoring systems for smaller units
The following has been stated namely: -
• Industries with STPs above 100 KLD and ETPs above 50 KLD were mandated to install online effluent monitoring systems.
• After receiving representations from smaller units, the matter was reconsidered in the 162nd Board meeting, and it was decided to follow CPCB guidelines — thereby exempting STPs above 100 KLD and ETPs above 50 KLD from mandatory online monitoring system installation.
• All other conditions remain unchanged, except the exemption from online monitoring system installation.
