Industry Specific ComplianceThe Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) on August 22, 2025, issued a circular regarding the requirement of NOC for the Release of New Electricity Connections / Additional Load as per Regulation 10(4) of the Supply Code 2024.

The following has been stated: -

•As per Regulation 10(4) of the Supply Code, 2024 and PSPCL’s instructions, submission of NOC is mandatory before release of electricity connections.

•Industrial units require NOC from the Chief Electrical Inspector for HT/EHT line clearance and from the Punjab Pollution Control Board for red-category industries.

•Connections in the Walled City/Golden Temple Galiara, Amritsar, need NOC from the Municipal Corporation, Amritsar.

•Connections within the Chandigarh periphery area need NOC from PUDA/GMADA or any notified authority.

•For residential/commercial/industrial complexes, NOC from PSPCL is needed for LD system approval and connectivity, and strict compliance is required statewide.
