Industry Specific ComplianceThe Directorate of Marketing & Inspection (DMI), on August 20, 2025, notified regarding the relaxation in the pre-requisite conditions to Farmers Producers Organization (FPO/FPC) for grant of Certificate of Authorization under Agmark.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that the competent authority has further granted various relaxations for the processing of applications for the grant of CA to FPO/FPC only, which are mentioned below: 

• A single TBL may be used by more than one FPO based on NOC from the legal owner of the TBL, along with the existing undertaking as per form A2. 

• FPO/FPC may tie up with any laboratory (SAGL/Commercial/NABL accredited), whether approved or not under AGMARK for grading and marking of their produce. A simple undertaking may be obtained from the FPO/FPC in this respect. The grading records may be maintained by these laboratories or by the FPO/FPC itself.

• The pre-inspection before grant of CA may be carried out preferably in online mode. 

• The CA may be granted in offline(Physical CA book)/online(AQCMS) mode within 3 days from the receipt of the application with due fees of Rs 500/-. If it has been granted in offline mode, then the respective office must update the old data entry in AQCMS.
