The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) on November 10, 2025, issued instructions regarding Online Continuous Effluent/Emission Monitoring Systems (OCEMS) connectivity.
The following instructions regarding Online Continuous Effluent/Emission Monitoring Systems (OCEMS) connectivity are as stated:
• As per the notice issued by CPCB dated October 07, 2025, all industries in Tamil Nadu that have registered on CPCB’s old OCEMS portal shall register on their new OCEMS portal by November 15, 2025 for transmitting OCEMS data to CPCB. CPCB’s new OCEMS portal can be accessed at https://cems.cpcb.gov.in.
• Industries shall strictly adhere to the guidelines/directions for OCEMS issued by CPCB from time to time, including transmission of OCEMS data to CPCB/TNPCB.
• All 17 category industries, CETPs, local body STPs and common facilities in Tamil Nadu shall switchover to the new OCEMS portal of TNPCB by December 15, 2025.
• TNPCB has not authorized/empanelled any specific IoT/Data logger manufacturer/manufacturers/service provider/supplier for OCEMS connectivity to TNPCB.
• OCEMS data to CPCB’s new OCEMS Portal & TNPCB’s new OCEMS portal is to be pushed through CPCB API & TNPCB API respectively.
