Labour ComplianceThe Government of Rajasthan on October 16, 2025, has declared the list of Public Holidays and Optional Holidays to be observed across all State Government offices in Rajasthan during the calendar year 2026 (Gregorian year 2026, Saka Era 1947–1948).

The notification specifies major Public Holidays, including Devanarayan Jayanti (January 25), Republic Day (January 26), Mahashivratri (February 15), Holi and Dhulandi (March 2–3), Chetichand (March 20), Eid-ul-Fitr (March 21), Ram Navami (March 26), Good Friday (April 3), Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti (April 14), Eid-ul-Zuha (May 28), Maharana Pratap Jayanti (June 17), and Karva Chauth (October 29), among others. Additionally, all Saturdays and Sundays will continue to be observed as general public holidays for government offices.

The order further authorizes District Collectors in each district to declare two local holidays on account of regional fairs or festivals. Similarly, the Resident Commissioner’s Office in New Delhi may declare two local holidays for Rajasthan government offices located in Delhi. Each government employee is allowed to avail any two optional holidays from the approved list of optional holidays. It is clarified that Muslim holidays shall be determined based on the sighting of the moon, and that this order applies only to State Government offices.
